Nollywood actor Emeka Rising Ibeh is currently under fire as he has been kicked out of his residence ,7 Nuru Onuwo Street in Surulere ,Lagos due to his wrong activities at the said residence and his inability to pay his rent.
Popular for his roles in “Isakaba” and “Mr Ibu The Lecturer “,the actor is said to have accrewed a N2.5million debt from his inability to pay up his 5years rent.
According to the landlord,he said,Emeka has been living as a ghost tenant and for the past 5 years hasn't paid rent but confirmed that he has been kicked out of the residence with the help of the courts.
He expressed sadness over the fact that the actor turned the apartment to a den of Indian hemp smokers and prostitutes adding that Emeka has special tactics of avoiding payment and that the debt has soared to N2.5million in the last 5years.
"Can you imagine staying in an apartment for five years without paying rent? Such an irresponsible fellow" the landlord said.
Recall that the actor was at a certain time sacked from the actors guild of Nigeria over some terrible characters of his and its reported that loads of India hemp were found in the apartment and they have been submitted to the appropriate authorities to commence investigation.
Shockingly, Emeka's exit from the neighbourhood was seen as a big relief adding that their experiences were unimaginable. One of the neighbours had this to say,
"Sometimes in the night you will hear ladies screaming for help in the apartment and when we go to knock, Emeka will say they are acting movie.
At another time it will be the smoke of India hemp with all kinds of funny looking characters claiming to be Nollywood actors. It was not a palatable experience that is why the whole compound celebrated the day he was thrown out by the court like a piece of rubbish that he truly is. We are free at last”
