Former minister of education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has once again taken a swipe on President Muhammadu Buhari’s led APC government and describes its emergence as a mistake made by Nigerians.
The former minister stated this on Monday, May 30, while receiving thousands of PDP supporters at his residence as part of activities commemorating democracy day celebrations that included the state PDP executives and other officials from the 484 Wards of Kano state.
Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, who holds the title of Sardauna of Kano, said, one year after electing APC by Nigerians, there was nothing to show except the worsening living condition the people have found themselves under the APC Government.
He described the situation Nigerians are going through as deplorable adding that, humanism democracy is what citizens need where uninterrupted food will be on their table and social security is guaranteed for all.
Before last year’s presidential elections, I asked people to pray to God to give us the best candidate, which was construed as bias and given religious tone, but now what is happening? Ask an ordinary citizen on the street.
The Sardauna of Kano who has remained consistent in attacking the style of leadership of President Muhammad Buhari, appealed to PDP faithful in the state to remain steadfast and resolute, advising them not to despair in view of the monumental failure the APC government is inflicting on Nigerians, saying eventually, they are the ones to smile.
Earlier, the youth chairman representing Kano central, Hon. Fatuhu Dala informed the gathering that they remain firm and resolute with Malam Shekarau as their leader and sympathizes with Nigerians on the harsh living condition they have found themselves in adding that, only PDP could bail them out.
