“Tompolo is in Libya and we’ll get him dead or alive,” JNDLF stressed.
Former militant leader Government Ekpemupolo (alias Tompolo) has allegedly fled to Libya.
Vanguard reports that the allegation was made by the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF), the group that threatened to test six missiles in the Niger Delta states, beginning from tomorrow.
The statement was issued on Monday, June 6, and signed by General Akotebe Darikoro, the commander of general duties, General Torunanaowei Latei, the creeks network coordinator, General Agbakakuro Owei-Tauro, the pipelines bleeding expert, and General Pulokiri Ebiladei, the Intelligence Bureau of JNDLF.
“The military can’t locate Tompolo but we have identified where he is now.”
“Presently, Tompolo is in Libya and we’ll get him dead or alive for betraying us in supporting the federal government against us.
“Nigerian military has weak intelligence gathering mechanism hence they could not identify our modu oparandi. Nigerian military is only good in carrying AK47 to harass innocent people and raping young girls and women,” the group said.
However, when contacted, a close source to Tompolo laughed and said: “I do not know what you want to say, they should leave Tompolo alone.”
Meanwhile, the Nigerian army returned to the Oporoza community, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West local government area, Delta state.
The soldiers raided the community in search for the militants and Tompolo, who has many times denied link with Niger Delta Avengers in the last few weeks.
