The striking workers in Ondo state are using all means to express their dissatisfaction and make the government pay their five-month salaries.

On Wednesday, June 15, the labour unions began impounding all government-owned vehicles found plying the streets, Premium Times reports.

The labour leaders revealed that government officials with official cars have to drive themselves as their drivers take part in the strike.

According to the officials, all workers should observe the strike and government business ought to be closed.
The striking workers already seized an Akure South local government council vehicle and another one having the plate number of the Ondo state government.

They threatened that impounded vehicles would be held till the end of the strike.

Last week, Ondo state civil service workers staged a protest in Akure demanding their outstanding salaries.

The protesters shut down the government house at the Alagbaka axis and prevented Governor Olusegun Mimiko and his convey from entering.
