Following the death of two footballing legends of Nigerian football in the past week, plans are on the way regarding the burial arrangements for late Stephen Keshi.

NFF mourns Stephen keshi
Reports have it the Federal Government, Edo, Delta and Cross Rivers state governments will be involved when the former captain of the Super Eagles will be laid to rest in his ancestral home of Illah in Delta state.

According to family sources, the first port of call will be in Abuja where the current Super Eagles players will be led by their skipper John Mikel Obi during the burial proceedings.

Keshi’s children are also expected in the country to make arrangements for his funeral.

Recall that Amodu Shuaibu also died on June 11, three days after the demise of Stephen Keshi. They both died in Benin, Edo state.
