The Vanguard reports that there is a division in the camps of the different Niger Delta groups that are attacking oil and gas facilities in the oil-rich region.
This followed the announcement of cessation of hostilities by the Reformed Egbesu Boys of Niger Delta.
Many of the militants were angry that some powerful units have hijacked the struggle to the damage for the region and were merely using them as negotiation tool.
The Reformed Egbesu Boys of Niger Delta is reportedly fighting with the NDA and JNDLF over their positions.
The group is on the same position with JNDLF on stopping of the bombings, it disagreed with it on the release of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu, and ex-national security adviser Sambo Dasuki as well as some others.
The JNDLF had said that the militants accepted the talks proposed by the Federal government and listed their demands for further talks.
However, the Niger Delta Avengers maintained that it was not part of the discussions.
The government negotiators had came into many of the militant groups and many would probably announce ceasefire during the week and embrace dialogue with government.
