Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG)Care desperately interested in signing Leicester’s N’Golo Kante, a player Arsenal are already eyeing.

Arsenal is reportedly set to place a bid for Kante this summer after a series of impressive performances.

While Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have been rightly hailed for their performances for the Foxes, Kante has also won praise for his tireless work and presence as a near-impenetrable shield in midfield – something the Gunners have lacked in recent seasons.

According to The Sun (UK), Wenger is very keen on the midfielder, who was named in the PFA Team of the Year for his consistent performances since signing for the unlikely table toppers for £5.6m only last summer.

Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante

However, according to Le Parisian the Ligue 1 champions met with the Leicester City midfielder’s representatives twice in April and have since returned with an improved wage after initial reluctance.

The source reports that £20 million Kante is set to leave Leicester this summer after a stellar first EPL season.
Arsenal remain keen on the 25-year-old but have attempted to negotiate a fee lower than the France international’s release clause,

Speaking about Kante, the Arsenal manager noted: “I know him. You look at his career, you will be amazed. He has always adapted to the level where he was. One of my best friends in life knows him since he was ten years old, and he spoke to me about him. We went to watch him and we saw he had quality. But I didn’t know he would come so quickly to England.”

Wenger added: “He played in Suresnes in Paris at the age of nine, ten years old. After he went to Boulogne as an amateur, they didn’t want to sign him pro. After, he went to Brest, I think, after to Caen, and then he came finally to England.”
