An independent and neutral international organisation affiliated with the United Nations, Organisation of Emerging African States (OEAS) was the first to organise the first Biafran conference outside the shores of Nigeria.

The leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) issued a statement all the way from Accra, when he stated that other Biafra groups which are in attendance at the four day conference are MASSOB, Biafra Liberation Council, Ekwenche Organisation, Biafra Liberation Crusade, Biafra National Youth League, Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as well as representatives of some Niger Delta ethnic groups.

The secretary general of OEAS, Dr Ebenezar stressed on thew importance of oneness of objectives of all those who want the Biafran dream to come into fruition, despite their different interest and ideology.

A sort of family meeting was called by the particating groups in other to discuss on the reasons for the conference immediately after the briefing, the

Madu, who stated the agenda of the conference said it “is to strategise mutually on building synergies and mutual understanding towards Biafra actualization and restoration through establishing a common Biafra platform that will bind the indifferences of Biafra groups together.

“Secondly to restrategise on the more effective way of securing the release of Biafra detainees in Nigeria and in diaspora.”

It seems the problem of the main Biafra agitator, Nnamdi Kanu is on the rise, because on Wednesday, May 25, a three-man panel of justices of the appellate court led by Justice Abdul Aboki, affirmed the decision of the Federal High Court to deny Kanu’s bail application.
