President Muhammdu Buhari may meet with one of the groups that supported the independence of Biafran territories.

Vanguard reports that Ohanaeze Ndigbo, an apex Igbo socio-cultural group, has decided to visit President Buhari at the Aso Rock presidential villa to present a list of their demands to the government.

The members of the group adopted this decision after a meeting at the private residence of one of their leaders in Enugu on Thursday.

Other issues Ohanaeze Ndigbo resolved to present to the Nigerian president for immediate attention comprised the rebuilding of the Enugu- Umuahia- Port Harcourt Road, the Enugu-Onitsha express road, appointment of more special and senior special assistants or assistants as Igbo are not represented in his administration, as well as the completion of the second Niger Bridge to end the current agitation for Biafra Republic.

The members of the group also decided to ask Buhari to set up the Eastern Nigeria Development Commission to handle the matter of unemployment of Igbo youths which they said was responsible for the continued agitation for the Biafran Republic by the Indigenous People of Biafra as reportedly requested by Governor Rochas Okorocha during the reunion meeting between the two former factions of Ohanaeze led by Chief Enwo Igariwey and Ralph Obioha correspondingly.

However, IPOB members have reacted to the outcome of the Ohanaeze meeting, claiming that Igbo politicians who are using the group and their leader Nnamdi Kanu or Biafra to get cheap popularity will fail and urged them to stop doing so.

The IPOB also maintained that Ohanaeze benefited over the talks with the presidency for their selfish interest, but not to achieve the Biafra independence.

The Organisation of Emerging African States, which fights to achieve “true freedom” in Africa, advising pro-Biafrans groups to unite for the achievement their goal and to launch Biafra United Front.
