Two young ladies were last Monday picked up by the plain cloths police detectives attached with Ogidi Police Division for allegedly practicing lesbian in a beer parlour at No 5 Isingwu Street, off Central School road, Nkpor Agu, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.
The ladies who gave their names as Chioma from Umudioka in Dunukofia council area, Anambra state and one Amaka were apprehended by the police through a tip off as they were accused to have used the beer parlour of one of them to perpetuate the act that is against God and man.
The ladies accused to have gone contrarily against the bill recently promulgated by the nation’s parliaments may likely bag 14 years each if convicted in the court of law, this will come to play should police insist not to allow them escape through the back door.
It would be recalled that a bill prohibiting homosexuality and lesbianism in all parts of the country has been promulgated by the nation’s parliaments and if the ladies presently saying ‘I follow, I no follow’ in the office of the anti-trafficking unit of Ogidi Police Division is found culpable, they will be the first in the Police Division to be apprehended in such mess
247urports visit to Ogidi Police Division reports authoritatively that the members of homosexuality and lesbianism family in the state has mobilized legal luminaries to make sure that their members in police incarceration did not appear in court even as it was gathered that lesbianism family has allegedly offered money in ‘Ghana Must Go Bag’ to the police but the no-nonsense Divisional Police Officer, SP Isah Mohammed has turned down their offer.
When interviewed at the police counter by this reporter, one of the suspects confessed to the crime but attributing her act as the handiwork of the devil. “Please, one of my sisters is staying in her shop at Ochange Market and I don’t have her phone number off head. Please help me beg the police for I will never live in such dirty life again” She pleaded
When contacted, Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Isah Mohammed confirmed the story just like he insisted that the matter must go to court. The DPO went further to urge any interested persons to go and wait in the Court where they can seek for the bail of the accused dirty ladies by their alleged actions
